While this DLC certainly is better than the first as it adds a new storyline and adds a few usable features, the bottom line remains the same as with Breakdown: instead of putting effort into improving the base game, they just reuse the base game without improving much on it.
These attacks are called sieges and they consists of waves of zombies that try to flood your base in ever increasing numbers and with more and more 'special' zombie types as time progresses. You are to fulfill a few missions, which are tied together by a central storyline, like rescuing key scientific people, in between trying to beat off attacks by zombies. You manage a small military base located at the edge of the city that is overrun by zombies. The DLC puts you in the boots of the military. The DLC comes with a new map, some changes to the gameplay and a shallow storyline.
