In Season 24, Ethereals comforted Firebird in its position of strongest build in Diablo III, especially with Mang Song's Lesson allowing the build to annihilate everything as showcased here.
These stacks are then used to buff our Ignite DoT when hitting monsters with another Fire ability, on top of reducing our Teleport Cooldown. This new rework created a specific playstyle based around channeling Disintegrate to Ignite monsters and build Combustion stacks with the (4 ) Bonus. Firebird's Finery always had a strong fantasy around the Phoenix theme with the (2 ) Bonus "rising from the ashes" cheat death and the Fire element with an Ignite DoT. Season 23 however brought us a complete rework of this set. Comically enough, the strongest Firebird build iterations have been using non- Fire abilities! Yet, Firebird's Finery had its glory days of dominating the META as a Trash Killer from Season 12 to 15 using Meteor Star Pact alongside channeling multipliers like Deathwish. Granted, a well built monk might be slightly faster for speed farming, but FB will always push higher unless something fundamentally changes on how twister interacts with the set bonus on console.Firebird's Finery has been one of the weakest and most clunky sets in the game for quite some time, having to juggle between three Fire abilities to benefit from its set bonuses.
TL:DR FB doesn't have the issues form the PC to balance it, it does pretty much everything, and is the best at each thing that it does. Hell the 2 piece set bonus can take you through GR 70. You hold RT for disentigrate, hold RB for twister, and e everything pretty much gets oneshot up until GR 100 with a very subpar build. Slap on ranslors folly in the cube and trash clearing/bounty farming/key farming couldn't be easier. The build is tanky because of diamond skin, FB set passive, OoID, does high damage, has fast speed because of TP, and is very flexible. Allowing for ridiculous damage especially in an enclosed space, or through stacking them on specific corners depending on the map. FB twister can cast while channeling allowing DW use, and twisters don't dissipate on hitting a wall, rather they bounce allowing you to stack of a fuck ton of twister on one spot.
